The Challenge

Just weeks before a major election, Mobile App Hero and the non-profit New Georgia Project brought me on to design a mobile experience to help voters explore their local ballot. The timeline? One week.

We needed to quickly translate complex civic data into a clear, accessible tool for voters across Georgia — all while collaborating closely with stakeholders and handing off a fully designed product to development.

The Approach

With only a week, speed and clarity were everything. I started by reviewing the API to map out what candidate data we could surface. I paired this with a competitive and comparative analysis to identify design patterns and opportunities.

Then I moved quickly into wireframing — using a custom-made Sketch wireframing tool for speed and cohesion — while simultaneously testing interactions and preparing type and color boards for early approval.

What We Delivered

The resulting app gave voters a clear, accessible way to:

  • View their ballot based on location

  • Explore candidates’ positions and endorsements

  • Save favorite candidates

  • Browse relevant news curated by the New Georgia Project

The design laid a foundation for an informative, user-first civic tool — built fast, built smart, and built for Georgia.
